The effects of the 1992-1995 Bosnian war are still seen throughout the landscape and architecture in Sarajevo, Bosnia.
Gordana and her family migrated to Canada in the midst of the war. This is the first time Igor is back to Sarajevo since they moved to Toronto in 1993 to visit his father’s grave. Even though his father has passed away from Cancer, the war has impacted his life and his relationship with his family in other ways.
Gordana and Igor discuss the impact of the war on their family as they stand by his grave in the cemetery where people who fought each other are buried together.
